Apple makes lovely Macs, laptops, iPods, and iPhones. They don't make house calls.

F A Q

Q: Who are Knack4Macs?

A: Knack4Macs are a support and training firm dedicated to making Apple Macintosh computers work for you rather than the other way around. Knack4Macs is the technical spin-off of Morebass Media, a creative consultancy founded in 1996. Morebass Media has a history of servicing creative and technical needs in the music industry, education and sport. Launching Knack4Macs acknowledges the growing technical and training interests of clients as a separate concern from the content-driven Morebass Media.

Q: What expertise is there at Knack4Macs?

A: In addition to extensive training from Mind Over Macintosh (California) and Media Training (London) in the MacOS and various softwares, Knack4Macs founder, Barry Golin has been at the forefront of software development as a consultant and beta tester for companies such as Apple, Quark, Adobe and Markzware among others.

Q: What happens if Knack4Macs cannot 'fix' my Mac?

A: Most Apple products are very well built and and need a minimum of attention to be 'put right'. Occasionally, there is a hardware fault that cannot be fixed by anyone but Apple themselves. Knack4Macs does not charge for services it cannot perform. We will refer you to an AppleCentre if necessary, at no charge by phone, or for a nominal GBP20.00 call out charge for an on site visit.

Q: Do you offer a service contract for regular maintenance?

A: Yes. There are different service packages available. A monthly fee covers various issues from technical support only up to a regular upgrade and maintenance package tailored to your needs. Quotes are available.

Q: Are there discounts available?

A: There is an education discount for schools. Also, if you've had a good experience with Knack4Macs and refer a friend or colleague who chooses to use us, you receive a GBP10.00 voucher towards your next Knack4Macs visit.
